At 160m, there is an observation deck and a gift shop for the visitors to have a view of the city from an amazing height and at the same time buy some important memorabilia. There is also a Sky City rotating restaurant at 500 feet, known to serve great variety of food. There are elevators to take the people to the top. It takes almost 40 seconds to reach the top. Once can see the Elliot bay and Mount Baker from the observation deck apart from the extended view of the city.

There are almost 25 rods atop the tower to save it from lightening strikes. There is also a legacy light on the top of the tower that shoot skywards on National holidays. The light was first illuminated on the eve on New Year in the year 2000.
The Space Needle has become a prime attraction over the years and has seen a multitude of visitors from all over the world. It is been established as a true landmark in Seattle.
