The Filipino Community of Seattle is a non-profit and a community which is tax-exempted. It is one of the Washington State Corporation Organization which is committed to serving the needs of Filipinos and Filipino Americas since 1935.

The community aims at achieving the following objectives:

The community encourages the different Filipino Americans and other neighboring areas to become the members of this community. In order to become the member of this community, you have to fill a membership form and pay a membership fee which needs to be paid to FCS (Filipino Community at Seattle).

The donations for this community are accepted in the form of cash and this will be used to support the different programs and services of the Filipino Community of Seattle.

NOAA Seattle Library - Located in the NOAA Western Regional Center

The NOAA Seattle Library was first established in the year 1979. The library was established in the Building 3 of the NOAA Western Regional Center.

This development happened in the year 1983. The library is presently being administered by the Library and Information Services Division in Silver Spring.

There are different collections in the library. The prime objective of the library is to support the NOAA missions and research. The library is intended to be used by the different NOAA or JISAO contractors as well as employees. The services of this library may be requested by any of the following routes that is phone, email or mail.

A special feature of the library is that it is never closed to the NOAA employees; however the library staff is only available on the weekdays between 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The public is also allowed to use the library. However they are allowed to do so only during the regular staff hours.
