You can procure the different birth records in Seattle from the Puget Sound Regional branch of the Washington State Archives. The different types of birth records that can be accessed include the following:

1. Birth Registers for Seattle Only: These records are organized chronologically. Records from 1890-1891 have self contained indexes. Entries in these records include date of birth, sex of the child, name and birthplace of both parents, residence of the parents, attending physician and remarks.
2. Birth Certificates: These certificates and records are organized by district and then chronologically.
3. Birth Indexes: These alphabetical index entries contain individual's name, birth date, mother's maiden name (surname only) and birth certificate number.
