On campus living and housing is mandatory primarily for full time fresh men and sophomores in Seattle University. It is also mandatory for them to purchase a meal plan while they are living on campus.

The students are required to live on the campus for six consecutive quarters. This does not include their summer terms. They are qualified to live off campus only once they are twenty one years of age.

Seattle has a hilly topography. There are seven hills on which Seattle is located. These include Capitol Hill, First Hill, West Seattle, Beacon Hill, Denny Hill and Queen Anne. Seattle forms the part of the Puget Sound region. To the west of Puget Sound are the Kitsap and the Olympic peninsulas along with the Olympic Mountains. Towards the eastern direction are the Cascade Range and Lake Sammarish. There are lush green forests and there are different water bodies.
