Seattle is cut from north to south in the middle by the Interstate Highway 5 (I-5). The Interstate-90 (I-90) highway goes all the way to Boston. It actually runs from the Interstate-5 highway interchange.

Another highway that runs parallel to the I-5 is the I-405 which runs parallel on the east side of the Lake Washington. The traffic situation especially during the rush hour on Interstate Highway-5 is terrible in Seattle.
