The Seattle underground is the network of underground passageways in Downtown Seattle. Even though the spaces were become unusable, but the underground become the tourist attraction of the city in recent years.

After the fire the city leaders took two decisions instead of rebuilding it. The two decisions are: all the new buildings must be built with stone or brick, insurance should be made. The second is to regrade the streets with one or two stories higher than the original.

The reconstruction of the streets involves a pedestrian climbed ladder to go between the streets, sidewalks in front of the building, and skylights. After the construction of the new walk building owners moved their businesses to the new ground floor.
