Shopping Districts

Travel to Seattle for a shopping paradise, it has more than 1,800 retailers. There are many shopping malls, department stores, local boutiques, designer shops, national and international retailers, specialty stores. The list is endless.

Seattle is home to wonderful shopping all over the entire city. In Fremont the international district, the university district or the pike palace. Down town Seattle shopping is a mall with large names such as Nordstrom, Urban Outfitters and Gap. West lake plaza and pacific place are also located in downtown Seattle. They are both very large malls that include many various shops and eating dens.

The international district features eight blocks of shopping with roots from Asia. There are many different ethnic varieties in this shopping area including Japanese, Chinese, Filipino Pacific Islander and south East Asia. Pike Place market is Seattle's most known waterfront area that features local produce, fish and many restaurants.

Fashion boutiques such as Betsy Johnson and Isadora's Antique offer Seattle shoppers more electric options. After getting tired of all the shopping the shoppers can get treated to the high end spas and salons for go for a latte at Nordstrom Cafe.

The university district caters to a more youthful crowd. It offers the best cheap eating places and shops in a small relaxed Seattle neighborhood. There are a central mix of upscale shops, chain stores and boutiques that offer good deals for students and tourists. There is a variety of shopping at Seattle's University Village.

There are also theatre options such as the Neptune, varsity or seven gables. The setting of the University of Washington's campus and colors are reminiscent of an Ivy League college and a wonderful place when traveling in Seattle to catch a glance of Seattle student life.
