The building is constructed following neoclassical architecture. The outer walls of the first and second floors are created using granite and the remaining ones have outer walls fabricated with terracotta. There's a secret behind the intact gloss of the building is maintained. It was washed only once in 1976 since the time it was constructed; it has been seen that it stays cleaner when not washed.

The best thing about this skyscraper is its Observation Deck. It is located at the 35th floor of the building. This observatory offers the best and by far the most natural view of the beautiful city of Seattle. It is an open air area providing magnificent views of Mt. Rainier, Safeco Field, Colman Ferry Terminal and Pioneer Square. The charges of accessing this area vary. The adults will need to pay $7.5 whereas the senior citizens and students will have to spend only $6. If you have a child between the ages of 6 and 12 years, you will require paying an entree fee of $5. No entree fee will be needed for children who are 5 years old or under that age.

The exact location of this skyscraper is the northeastern corner of the Yesler and Second Av. If you are heading towards the building on a car, you should take the Interstate 5 at James Street. Then head towards the west to the Second Av and turn left. This will put you at the mentioned corner of Yesler and Second.
