Seattle Travel Tips

Seattle for travelers means art, shopping, drinks, music, festivals, unique restaurants and laidback luxury. Some tips on what to see and do on a short Seattle trip.

Tip 1 - Shopping is primarily on every tourists mind when they land in Seattle. With places like Pike Place Market, Kent Station, malls in downtown and many unique boutiques, Seattle is sure a hot shopping destination.

Tip 2 - Another must see place is Seattle Center, most famous for its Space Needle. An amusement park, science fiction museum, the Pacific science center and other stage and sports activities are all held at this Seattle fun point.

Tip 3 - Puget sound is a famous phrase associated with Seattle's Elliot Bay waterfront where creatures are found living above and below the water level. The Seattle aquarium too draws hordes of crowd. Catch some of the oldest shops in Seattle at the waterfront.

Tip 4 - Do you want to see clouded leopard, gorillas, birds, lions and some other exotic animals then move to the Seattle Woodland Park Zoo. The Pumpkin Prowl and some other summer special concerts are it special attraction apart from a beautiful rose garden at the south end of the zoo.

Tip 5 - Want to get a taste of Seattle's nightlife then don't forget to be at the Pioneer Square. It is known for live music band performances at night and in the day it is known for its art exhibitions and galleries.

Light Rail is one of Seattle's prides. This transportation system transports thousands of passengers every day. With many stations distributed around Seattle, this light rail system has served a number of satisfied passengers.

- Sound Transit Link Light Rail

This transit system was made to bring convenience for Seattle's locals and visitors. This is Central Link light rail system links the city to Tacoma International Airport, University of Washington, Mercer Island and many other target locations. These airport, university, north, and east links are scheduled to be fully functional in 2010.

- First train hours of service

Last July 20, 2009 the first train launched its initial trips heading Northbound from Tukwila Int'l Blvd to Westlake. Departure time from Monday to Friday is 5:18 am, 5:20 am on Saturday's and 6:19 am on Sundays. Last trains for the day going to the same location are scheduled to depart at 12:09 am from Monday to Friday, 12:06 pm on Saturdays, and 11:07 pm on Sundays.

- Train Frequency

Each trip is scheduled to depart every ten to fifteen minutes during Saturday, Sunday, and holidays. On weekdays, each train is also scheduled to depart every seven to fifteen minutes.
