
Fun Time in Seafair Seattle: Small Neighborhood Events and Major City-Wide Celebrations
Seattle is one of the major cities in United States and is located in the state of Washington. The small neighborhood event that leads up to major city wide celebrations in Seattle is named as Seafair, a summer festival. Seattle people have been celebrating this festival since 1950.

The festival starts in the month of July. The first event is called as Milk Carton Derby, which is boat race on Green Lake. The Derby is coupled by various fun events for families and children. After the derby event, the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon comprising of 26.2 mile and the Half Marathon in which the participants can run or walk the 13.1 mile is held.
The Seafair Triathlon will be held on the banks of lake Washington which includes a half-mile swim, 12 mile bike ride and 5 km run. The triathlon is usually held in the third week of July.

Another most important event which will happen on the last weekend of July is the Torchlight Parade and Torchlight Run. The Torchlight run participants will have to run 8km through the city streets and complete their mark.
The Seafair cup is one of the most popular events in the Seafair festival in which hydroplane racing is conducted in Lake Washington. It has the maximum number of participants among localities. The same weekend, tourist as well as localities can have a view of the death defying stunts done by the Blue Angels.
The Seafair Pirates is an organization which does community service all the year like spreading joy to children who are in hospitals and fundraising.
