One of the popular landmarks of Seattle is the Smith Tower Observation Deck located at Pioneer Square. The structure is popular for its Smith Tower that offers long distance views of the city.

Based on the neoclassical architecture, this observation tower is made of granite and terra cotta. The observation deck is located on the 35th floor of the tower which is accessible using a manually operated elevator, one of the last along the West Coast.

Space Needle observation deck opens 9 am to 11 pm from Sunday to Thursday and up to 12 midnight on Friday and Saturday. The Smith Tower is open for different timings during different months of the year.

Another observation deck is located at the 73rd floor of the Columbia Center tower in Seattle. The tower if 285 m tall and has total of 76 floors. The Smith Tower Observation Deck is one of the tallest buildings and the oldest skyscraper in Seattle area. It was built way back in 1914 and was recently restored in 1999. This is one of most interesting places in the city because you can see Seattle in a 360 degree view when you are on top of the Smith Tower on its observation deck.
