The Green Lake and Park, Seattle is a favorite attraction for the visitors and the residents of the city alike. It offers great many features like the Guarded Beach, basketball courts, play area and fishing areas which makes it one of the most loved parks of the city. The Green Lake Park is a natural preserve with hundreds of exotic species of plants. There is a 2.8 miles long path running around the lake which is a much favored jogging, walking, cycling and skating path. The Green Lake Park also houses the Green Kale Community Center which is open for functions and exhibitions. The park management is also planning a vegetation management plan which aims at landscape management of the park to ensure well being of the rich fauna life in the area. The citizens of Seattle can offer to volunteer in the park and participate in the management and operation of the park.
