Experience Music Project in Seattle was established in 2000 by Paul Allen, the co-founder of Microsoft. And in 2004 Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame was added to the building's south wing. General Museum Hours

Starting from September 7, 2010 to May 26, 2011, EMP|SFM is operated in terms of winter hours, opens every day from 10 am to 5 pm. On Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day, the museum will be closed. Ticket purchase is available at box office every day during the hours of the museum.

When it comes to summer hours (May 27 to September 5, 2011), the museum is open daily from 10 am to 7 pm.
