Green Lake Seattle
Among the most beloved parks of Seattle is the Green Lake. The green space and expansive waters surrounding it all in the midst of an urban neighborhood brings several thousand visitors to this lake every day. The visitors are not jus tourists but also include residents of Seattle from its different neighborhoods. For several hundred species of plants and trees too, the park acts as a natural preserve apart from providing shelter to several birds and waterfowl.
The 2.8 mile path around the lake which has been constructed recently is a boon for runners, skater, bikers, and walkers. Boating, swimming and picnics are the other activities which attract people to the Green Lake. Whenever you visit this nature's paradise make sure you also visit the adjoining Green Lake Small Craft Center

However, the park has been going through a bad patch in recent times due to pollution and stagnation. Algae blooms have only accentuated the problem. Swimmers intending to use the lake should particularly check out the latest scenario before venturing into the waters.
