Golden Gardens Park - An Ideal Spot for a Sunset Stroll with Views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains

Seattle is one of the nice places to spend vacation during summer, because the sun amazingly shines in the city. There are venues and places that truly offer great scenery of the sun from the time it rise up to the time it sets. If you are fond of watching this scenic beauty, then Seattle is the best place to be.

One of the spots in Seattle that offers magnificent view of the sunset is the Golden Gardens Park. The place is located at 8498 Sea view Pl. NW. This is identified as the public park in Ballard. The park offers an excellent view of Pudget Sound and the Olympic Mountains. The park was discovered and developed by Harry W. Treat in the year 1907.

There are lots of things that you can do at Golden Gardens Park such as swimming, kayaking, canoeing and sailing. There are several sports conducted in this park like sail-boarding, kite surfing and other wind-driven sports and the most common is the paragliding. There are also birds that migrated in the park such as mallard ducks, Canada geese, eagles, seagulls, wood ducks and red-winged blackbirds.

Aside from the sunset, Golden Gardens Park is also a nice place to make bonfire, while waiting for the sunset. You can even have picnic here with your family or friends and the park has a play area for the kids. The place is definitely a setting that will let you experience witnessing how beautiful nature is because of the sunset.

While waiting for the sunset you are able to encounter some intertidal inhabitants. There are huge populations of burrowing animals that can be found on the eelgrass beds, however there are few still. There are vast quantity of piddocks that lives in the clay and buried logs on the northeast part of the beach.
